Rules of the Trail

  • Trail Hours: Sunrise to Sunset
  • No motorized vehicles or horses
  • Observe all posted signs
  • Dogs must be on a leash
  • No trespassing on private property adjacent to the trail
  • Use the far right side of the trail
  • Pass with caution on the left
  • Cyclists and skaters- alert those in front of you –call ahead or sound a bell
  • Travel at safe speeds, especially on curves or hills
  • Never exceed 15 m.p.h.
  • Be careful around children and pets
  • A Town of Blacksburg ordinance requires everyone 14 years and under to wear a helmet when bicyling
  • Helmets and protective gear are recommended for all cyclists and skaters
